About Us

A review of a cigar is only as valuable as the source. Said another way… the reliability of advice is a direct reflection of the advisor. Isn’t that a ancient Chinese proverb? Errrrr maybe not. At the CigarDojo we make no claim of being cigar experts, instead we are merely cigar fanatics, we like to get our hands on as many different types of cigars as possible, smoke them, and share our thoughts about them with others.

“A bird does not sing because it has an answer. It sings because it has a song” Now THAT is indeed a Chinese proverb.

The CigarDojo consists of…

Master Sensei cigar reviewer

Eric  G. AKA “Master Sensei”, Eric is a web developer, graphic artist, SEO, and social media expert and mastermind behind the Cigar Dojo app the world’s greatest social cigar app. With years and years of internet development experience Eric has designed and created dozens of web properties for clients of all sizes. Eric is also a ice hockey fanatic as well as a auto racing enthusiast. Eric’s passion is defending the principles of right vs. wrong and doing his part to preserve our ever shrinking freedoms via battling the cancer of socialism. Master Sensei says… “cigar’s are a symbol of freedom and are a microcosm of a much larger battle” Whoa… deep eh? As a relatively new cigar smoker (only a few years) Eric’s passion for the cigar smoking lifestyle is at a fevered pitch, he describes his passion for cigars as being like a kid in a candy store.

Sumatra Samurai cigar reviewer

Jordan AKA “Sumatra Samurai” is a guitar playin’, ice hockey skatin’, cigar smokin’ machine. Besides smoking and reviewing cigars Jordan enjoys raising carnivorous Asian fish (watch your fingers). Jordan prefers dark, full bodied, cigars and his list of favorites include Padron, Tatuaje, My Father, and a few others. Many cigar smokers are quiet and almost stoic when smoking a particularly good hand-rolled cigar, yet the Sumatra Samurai is often seen and heard giggling uncontrollably when he stumbles upon a particularly good cigar as happened recently when he smoked a OSOK by Room 101. It’s that uncontrolled cigar enthusiasm that makes the Sumatra Samurai’s cigar reviews infectious.

Oregato Mr Sogato cigar reviewer
Domo arigato means “thank you very much” in Japanese, Domo Arigato, Mr. Roboto means you have been listening to too many horrible Styx songs from the 80’s, but Oregato Mr Stogato means business when it comes to cigar and whiskey reviews. His real name is Matt but his passion is for premium hand-rolled cigars and small batch whiskey. Recently married and now a father of one of the cutest little boys you will ever lays eyes on Mr Stogato knows how to pass out the very finest “it’s a boy!” cigars.
