Cigar Dojo and Joya de Nicaragua’s fan-favorite Joya Ninjaragua cigar is set to return for a second run later this month, with the original size and blend returning in limited quantities on April 15th.

Ninjaragua was first conceived more than four years ago on a Dojo community trip to Drew Estate’s Cigar Safari, which includes a tour of Joya de Nicaragua’s famed factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The Dojo community was given multiple samples from the Joya team, with the most popular blend being tweaked by the Joya and Cigar Dojo teams over the next year, eventually materializing as the Joya Ninjaragua in 2020.

It was down in Estelí where the core essence of Drew Estate, Cigar Dojo and JDN began to meld and a new triangular alliance blossomed, with Drew Estate and Cigar Dojo showing the way to the future of the cigar world, while JDN reaffirmed the authenticity and legacy of cigar craftsmanship.

Joya Ninjaragua is rolled in the original 6″ x 50 toro format, boasting a dark Nicaraguan Habano Criollo wrapper over all-Nicaraguan binder/fillers. The cigars are packaged in unique triangular-shaped boxes that represent the partnership between Cigar Dojo, Joya de Nicaragua, and Drew Estate.

“The reaction from the smokers when we launched Joya Ninjaragua for the first time was record-breaking. We knew we had to make a second batch in the future. It was too good not to remake it.” says Daniel Barrios, Joya de Nicaragua’s Global Commercial Manager.

As with the original 2020 release—which was among the fastest-ever Dojo collaborations to sell out—the cigars will be offered exclusively through retailer Smoke Inn Cigars, with 550 packs of six cigars (3,300 cigars) crafted for this limited release. Following a formal announcement through Smoke Inn’s KMA podcast on April 9th, the cigars will go up for sale on April 15th, priced at $53.70 ($8.95/cigar).
