The Dogma is back for 2019 with its slickest appearance to date.

In June of this year it was announced that the Undercrown Dojo Dogma would return for the 2019 season, being packaged in an all-new blue bundle design, more closely matching the look of the cigar’s bands and allowing the cigars to be more easily distinguished from past years’ releases. Dogma 2019 was then showcased with its new layout for the first time in July, where retailers across the country placed orders at the 2019 IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas.

As with 2018’s run of Dojo Dogma, this year’s release first debuted at the Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival in Broomfield, CO. But the cigars are now ready for a national release.

The 2019 limited release of the Undercrown Dojo Dogma is a smash hit. Wrapped in these beautiful, royal blue soft packs, the cigars simply illuminate beauty. Now with the accompanying shelf merchandizer it’s much easier for our retailers to showcase the product and for our consumers to find it on the shelf. Dogma really makes the geek squad component within Drew Estate uber proud and satisfied.Jonathan Drew, Founder and President of Drew Estate

Undercrown Dojo Dogma 2019 features the same blend seen in the original 2014 release and 2018’s small-batch national debut. The recipe is based on the core Undercrown Maduro, but the Dogma has been tweaked with added ligero, showcasing a more powerful rendition of the Undercrown blend. Undercrown Dogma was also the first Undercrown cigar to be box-pressed, allowing for a better marrying of the high-priming tobaccos within the blend.

In addition to the new packaging used for Undercrown Dojo Dogma 2019, the cigars will now ship with a new shelf merchandizer designed to hold 5 soft-packs for display on the retail shelf or counter. Undercrown Dojo Dogma is packaged in a 10-count soft pack with an MSRP of $107.97, offered exclusively to Drew Diplomat-authorized retailers.

The Undercrown Dogma originally began production in 2013, eventually debuting exclusively through online retailer Smoke Inn in the spring of 2014. Only 650 bundles of 10 cigars (split into two separate releases) were made available for the original release, collectively selling out in under 10 hours. Smoke Inn declared the release their fastest selling ever (at the time), sealing the cigars into the status of “unicorn.” Dogma became a highly requested item for enthusiasts and collectors alike, reaching heights of $500 (per bundle) on secondary markets. But the Dogma was never intended to be a luxury item; subsequently, Drew Estate and Cigar Dojo made the decision to bring the blend back.
