General Cigar Company is traditionally one of the largest booth setups at IPCPR. In recent years, the company has split each of their brands into miniature “booths within a booth” setups, with each of the various brand figureheads guiding visitors through the new offerings. The 2019 setup consisted of eight primary booths, which can be seen below.
CAO
Rick Rodriguez (Master Blender) and Doug Baldwin (Brand Manager) of CAO Cigars overview everything coming from the brand throughout 2019, including the CAO Session, Flathead V19, and Amazon Orellana.
Cohiba
Cohiba Brand Ambassador, Sean Williams, showcases the luxury-geared Cohiba Spectre ($90 MSRP) and the Cohiba Connecticut.
Diesel
Diesel’s Senior Brand Manager, Justin Andrews, introduced the Diesel Whiskey Row Sherry Cask—a barrel-aged followup to the brand’s initial Whiskey Row cigar from 2018.
Hoyo de Monterrey
Hoyo de Monterrey overviews the limited El Torcedor, an updated look for the Excalibur lineup, and the new HOYO La Amistad Dark Sumatra by A.J. Fernández — all showcased at the 2019 IPCPR trade show.
La Gloria Cubana
Steve Abbott of La Gloria Cubana showcases the brand’s new La Gloria Cubana Spanish Press (now available), as well as LGC’s overhauled packaging and presentation (rolling out throughout the 2nd half of 2019).
Macanudo
Macanudo had a lot to offer at the 2019 IPCPR trade show, including the limited Macanudo Palladium, M Bourbon by Macanudo (flavored after an old fashioned cocktail), and Heritage Nuevo.
Partagas
Partagas Decadas was originally sold from 2003 to 2009. The cigars are back for 2019, as the 10-year-old African Cameroon wrappers needed are now available in small quantities.
Punch
Senior Brand Manager Ed Lahmann talks the logistics of 2020’s PCA trade show; also showcasing a fine-tuned Punch display across the entire lineup and new sizes in the Punch Diablo collection.
