Omar de Frias is bringing back the Concealed Carry cigar series, this time turning to the 1962 U.S. trade embargo on Cuba for inspiration.
The second edition, titled Concealed Carry II, will consist of six separate cigar releases, each focusing on a different person, event, or historical subject connected to the embargo. The series begins with a cigar called Fidel, referencing Cuban leader Fidel Castro.
Like the original Concealed Carry concept, the new series keeps much of the cigar’s production information secret. The company is withholding details about the factory, tobacco origins, and blend components. Instead, the focus is placed on the historical theme, with each release presented as another file in a collection of classified documents.
The Fidel release features military-green packaging, vintage-style lettering, a red star emblem, and custom cigar bands. The overall presentation is intended to connect the six releases as part of the same collection.
โConcealed Carry was created to remove preconceptions and let the tobacco tell a story of intrigue and craftsmanship,โ said Omar de Frias, Creator of Concealed Carry. โWith โThe Cuban Embargo themeโ, we are pulling back the curtain on a historical moment that forever reshaped our industry. โFidelโ is just the beginning of a six-part journey that will take collectors deep into the secret history of 1962.โ
Concealed Carry II will begin shipping in October 2026, with distribution limited to 35 authorized Fratello retailers nationwide. The company has not announced pricing, cigar dimensions, or release dates for the remaining five installments.
