Jonathan Drew Sann has pulled back the curtain on the initial brand portfolio for J.Sann & Son, the Miami-based factory and tobacconist venture announced earlier this year in partnership with Drew Estate.

The lineup consists of five brands, all produced at the family factory in Wynwood, Florida, where four rollers will handcraft a limited run of 500 cigars per day. Every cigar in the portfolio will carry the J.Sann & Son secondary brand featuring the Brooklyn Bridge and Sag Harbor Windmill, which the company is calling “Our Trademark.”

“Our Trademark harkens back to my beginnings in Brooklyn, New York in 1996, as well as the sixteen years that I lived in Estelรญ, Nicaragua during the early days of Drew Estate,” says Sann. “Today, my family and I live just four blocks from the family factory, where I oversee every detail of the manufactory.”

The five brands being introduced are Madrugada, Thirteen Years, West End, Homegrown, and Our Trademark itself.

Madrugada is dedicated to Sann’s son, Jonathan Drew Sann II. “Dedicated to my son, JD2, who is half Nicaraguan and half Neoyorquino (from New York). MADRUGADA illustrates my love for him and the people of Nicaragua, who adopted me with open arms as their native son in 1998,” Sann explains.

Thirteen Years references the gap between Sann’s departure from Drew Estate ownership and the launch of J.Sann & Son. “THIRTEEN YEARS is a testament to a promise made and a promise fulfilled,” says Sann. The brand’s artwork is a collaboration with artist Cleon Peterson, whose work Sann collects.

West End is a collaboration with Stacey Wade (Co-Founder of West End Gin), with the name pointing to the New York and Kentucky neighborhoods where the two grew up. “True friends, Stacey Wade and I have never forgotten where we come from and dedicate this spirited brand to every city’s West End,” says Sann.

Rounding out the portfolio is Homegrown, a mixed-filler blend made from the trimmings of the other Wynwood-produced cigars. Sann describes it as “like eating hamburger made exclusively of filet mignon.”

The company has been sourcing tobacco from farms around the world since 2024, with final blends, wrappers, and sizes expected to be locked in by September 2026. Full production at the Wynwood factory is scheduled to begin that same month, with first shipments to Core Purveyors in the U.S. and internationally targeted for January. Drew Estate will handle all sales and distribution.

Retailers attending the 2026 PCA Trade Show in New Orleans can get an early look at the portfolio at the Drew Estate booth (#3241) on the first two days of the show.
