Miamiโs Wynwood Art District is set to become home to a new cigar-focused venue and factory as longtime cigar industry figure Jonathan Drew Sann and Drew Estate move forward with a collaborative venture.
The project, called J.Sann & Son Manufacturer and Tobacconist, brings together a cigar rolling operation, retail space, bar and lounge, full kitchen, and event venue under one roof. The multi-use facility is housed in a 7,200-square-foot building at 359 NW 28th Street and is expected to open in Spring 2026.
In addition to the on-site features, J.Sann & Son will produce handmade cigars with a capacity of about 500 cigars per day. The operation will also include an online store and plans to carry cigars from other brands once the physical location opens.
Jonathan Drew Sann, who co-founded Drew Estate decades ago and continues to serve as its President and Chief Innovation Officer, described the project as rooted in family and his own personal journey in the industry. โEvery iconic brand has an origin story,โ he said. โOurs is built upon family, loyalty, and purposeโฆ the culmination of thirty years building Drew Estateโฆ with the birth of my son, Jonathan Drew Sann II (JD2).โ
Glenn Wolfson, CEO of Drew Estate, commented on the partnership as well, noting that it reflects ongoing collaboration and commitment to evolving how cigar businesses engage with consumers. โI am extraordinarily excited and proud of this new venture,โ he said.
The space is also planned to host live entertainment and cultural experiences alongside the cigar bar and supper club, reflecting a broader approach to lifestyle and cigar culture.
