Drew Estate is expanding its Undercrown line with a new release that shifts the brand’s focus away from Nicaraguan fillers for the first time.
Undercrown El Tigre Dominicano, being unveiled at the 2026 PCA Trade Show, is a Dominican filler-forward blend built around a pairing of Dominican HVA and Criollo ’98 leaves. The cigar uses a Connecticut Corojo H99 hybrid binder and an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, and is handmade in Nicaragua at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate despite the Dominican emphasis in the filler.
The blend is offered in a soft box-pressed format across four sizes: Corona Viva (5ยพ” x 46) at $11.50 per cigar, Robusto (5″ x 50) at $12.75, Toro (6″ x 50) at $13.00, and Gordo (6″ x 60) at $14.50. All are sold in 20-count boxes, with prices ranging from $230 to $290 per box.
Drew Estate describes the profile as medium-to-full, with notes of white pepper, roasted espresso, and earth. Consumers who picked up the company’s inaugural Early Access packs have already had a taste, as El Tigre was the “Fire” blend in that release.
“El Tigre Dominicano means so much to all of us at Drew Estate,” says company Founder and President Jonathan Drew Sann. “While handmade in Nicaragua at La Gran Fabrica, El Tigre strikes at the filler-forward core of the Dominican Republic, with layers and layers of complex transitions. Seriously, the El Tigre blend brings Undercrown to a whole new level. It’s a cigar that’s now in my personal daily rotation. Everyone at the office can’t stop smoking them โฆ I’m super curious to see the consumer response to this blend.”
Retailers attending the PCA Trade Show can place orders starting April 18th, with shipments to retailers slated for April 2026.
