J.C. Newman’s historic El Reloj cigar factory was featured on Fox & Friends over the weekend as part of the program’s ongoing America250 coverage.
During the segment, anchor Charlie Hurt toured the Tampa factory, learning about the cigar-making process before trying his hand at rolling a cigar of his own. The cigars he made were later shared with his fellow Fox & Friends hosts.
The appearance also highlighted J.C. Newman’s role in the upcoming 250th anniversary of the United States. The company is producing several cigars made in the U.S. that commemorate the occasion, including The American, Angel Cuesta, LeRoy Neiman, and Tampa Smokers.
Located in Tampa’s Ybor City, El Reloj remains the oldest operating cigar factory in the United States and continues to produce premium cigars using traditional methods.
