How often do you see a Cameroon puro tobacco recipe? How about Cameroon leaf grown in Honduras? Now, what about a Cameroon puro entirely grown in Honduras??? Enter the Aladino Cameroon Reserva, the manifestation of the Eiroa family’s tireless efforts in tobacco agronomy. While the Eiroas are best known for their Authentic Corojo, it’s been fairly obvious that the family has had their eye on perfecting the transplantation of Cameroon leaf to their home soil of Honduras over the years. The tobacco was shown off on the Aladino Cameroon in 2020 and the Aladino Limited Edition in 2023, now reaching puro status in 2024 with the Aladino Cameroon Reserva. We’re here to declare that the Eiroas’ experimentation has not been in vain. Rolled in a single toro format, the Aladino Cameroon Reserva is unquestionably unique. The cigar is medium (at best) in intensity, lighting up with a dry, spicy-sweet texture across the palate. This sensation evolves into more of a suede-like feel as the cigar burns, showing notes of red pepper, peanut brittle, and rich English tea stirred with whole milk.
