Once considered a hidden gem in the world of premium cigars, El Titan de Bronze has proved one of the most exciting success stories of the past decade-plus. The journey began in 1995, operating as a family-run boutique in the heart of Miami’s historic Little Havana neighborhood. Over the years, the factory became renowned for its expert craftsmanship, employing only Category 9 torcedores, many of whom began their careers at some of Cuba’s most celebrated factories. After the industry’s hottest craft brands found success with El Titan, larger entities began gravitating to Miami as well, including the likes of Drew Estate and General Cigar Co. While the majority of El Titan’s efforts are related to the manufacturing side, the company has long offered cigars under their own label as well, most famously including the El Titan de Bronze Redemption line. In 2024, the factory’s ties with the aforementioned General Cigar was elevated to new heights, revamping/re-blending the Redemption cigar for the national audience for the first time. This includes the use of an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and all-Nicaraguan binder/fillers, making for a classic, nostalgic smoking experience that highlights El Titan’s refined Cubanesque approach. Expert craftsmanship is a given, delivering a concentrated smoke onto the palate, a maintenance-free burn, and zesty yet approachable characteristics of freshly ground coffee beans, toasted rye bread, aromatic cabinet spices, and a cocoa powder element that grows in intensity from start to finish.
