After the reveal in June that the Dojo Dogma would be returning for the cigar’s fourth limited release since 2014, Drew Estate has now begun shipping the cigars to Drew Diplomat-authorized retailers nationwide.
Dojo Dogma Maduro will be joined by the Undercrown ShadyXX, with both cigars featuring unique packaging that designates the 2020 release year. Both cigars feature amped-up versions of the original Undercrown Maduro recipe, including a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, Connecticut stalk-cut Habano binder, and fillers of Nicaragua and Brazil. The Dogma first used this blend (a similar recipe to the Undercrown Corona ¡Viva!) in the spring of 2014, being followed by the ShadyXV later that year.
Becoming the most sought-after Undercrown cigars in the years following, the Dogma made its anticipated return in 2018 (as well as each year since) and the ShadyXV was reincarnated a year later, now known as ShadyXX.
Both cigars are rolled in their original formats, with the Dogma boasting a commanding 6″ x 56 box-pressed toro format and the ShadyXX offering a 5″ x 50 box-pressed belicoso. The latter features similar packaging to what was introduced in 2019, packaged in deep blue paper boxes. For 2020, the Dogma follows suit, now packaged in similar petaca-style boxes that include 2020-exclusive artwork. Now shipping to retailers across the country, the ShadyXX is priced at $104.00 MSRP per box ($10.40 / cigar); the Dogma Maduro retails at $107.87 MSRP per box ($10.79 / cigar).
