After four years of dormancy, Cigar Dojo is thrilled to announce the highly anticipated return of Undercrown Dogma!
Now known as Undercrown Dojo Dogma, the fan-favorite “unicorn” has been re-crafted in its original size and blend, returning on a much larger scale for 2018. The Dogma is set to make its first public appearance at next week’s IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas. One month later, Dogma will be sold to the public for the first time, offered exclusively at the Rocky Mountain Cigar Festival on August 25, 2018, in Broomfield, Colorado (hometown of Cigar Dojo). The cigars will then be made available nationwide, sold exclusively through Drew Diplomat Retail Partners.
The Undercrown Dogma originally began production in 2013, eventually debuting exclusively through online retailer Smoke Inn in the spring of 2014. Only 650 bundles of 10 cigars (split into two separate releases) were made available for the original release, collectively selling out in under 10 hours! Smoke Inn declared the release their fastest selling ever (at the time), sealing the cigars into the status of “unicorn.” The cigars became a highly requested item for enthusiasts and collectors alike, reaching heights of $500 (per bundle) on secondary markets. But the Dogma was never intended to be a luxury item—it was made for the Joe 6-pack enthusiast—subsequently, Drew Estate and Cigar Dojo made the decision to bring the blend back.
Undercrown Dojo Dogma features the same blend as the original (which is an offshoot of the amped-up Undercrown Corona ¡Viva! blend), offering a dark Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Connecticut Stalk Cut Habano binder, and Nicaraguan and Brazilian Mata Fina fillers—providing a more intense version of the traditional Undercrown Maduro smoking experience. Like the original, the cigars are packaged in butcher paper-bound bundles of 10 cigars, with only subtle tweaks to the outward design—allowing the cigars to be distinguished from the original release. The blend is soft-pressed in its original 6″ x 56 format (the first Undercrown cigar to be box-pressed), allowing the heavy tobaccos to better marry in the final smoking experience, as well as providing cooler smoking draw.
