Cigar Dojo sat down with James Brown at IPCPR 2019—artistic visionary, blender, and partial owner of brands such as Black Label Trading Co (BLTC), Black Works Studio (BLK WKS), and more.
Shortly before this year’s trade show, it was announced that the four primary brands manufactured at Brown’s Fabrica Oveja Negra factory—BLTC, BLK WKS, Emilio Cigars, and Dissident Cigars—would be consolidated under a singular entity known as Oveja Negra Brands. Each of these companies showcased their products within the new Oveja Negra Brands booth (formerly a BLTC / BLK WKS booth).
Black Label Trading Company showcased the Last Rites Viaticum as an IPCPR exclusive (a tweaked version of the standard Last Rites cigar). The company also debuted the Santa Muerte Barrio Santo, MORPHINE 2019, and slightly updated packaging across nearly the entire portfolio.
Black Works Studio showcased the Killer Bee Connecticut as a national release (formerly being an IPCPR retailer exclusive) and the NBK Lizard King as a limited offering.
