Roughly three months prior to IPCPR 2019, Alec Bradley announced it had acquired Lars Tetens Brands, a former major player in the flavored/infused/conditioned realm of premium cigars. As the trade show approached, Alec Bradley’s vision for Lars Tetens became more clear, showcasing a range of seven offerings—providing a glimpse at how the brand would look and the overall flavor characteristics moving forward.

Lars Tetens was clearly the focus for Alec Bradley at this year’s trade show, focusing a significant portion of the AB booth towards the new additions. Lars Tetens himself was in attendance virtually the entire time, giving private musical performances to AB’s booth visitors through an enclosed area of their booth.

Alec Bradley also showcased the latest addition to sub-brand Alec & Bradley—a Dominican-based smoking experience known as Gatekeeper. The cigars are being produced at Ernesto Perez-Carrillo’s famed Tabacalera La Alianza S.A. factory in the Dominican Republic, helping to make Gatekeeper one of the more buzzed-about releases from the show.
