Since debuting at IPCPR 2015—marking the first sequel blend to the original Undercrown line—the Connecticut-wrapped Undercrown Shade has yet to receive a true limited offshoot. This is set to change next week, as Drew Estate will be debuting the Undercrown Shade SUPREMA at its booth during the 2019 IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas.
Undercrown Shade SUPREMA incorporates the same primary blend as the core Undercrown Shade, though it is said to be slightly tweaked for “a bolder profile on the palate compared to core sizes while remaining a smooth smoking experience.” In addition, SUPREMA is rolled in a shapely 6″ x 50/54 perfecto size (having the appearance of a traditional Salomon).
Differing from previous cigars of this nature under the Undercrown umbrella, Undercrown Shade SUPREMA is packaged in five-count boxes (as opposed to 10-count bundles, à la the Undercrown Dojo Dogma). The cigars are priced at $9.60 MSRP and will begin shipping this September.
