Cigar Dojo & Espinosa Cigars Announce Limited Edition Psychedelic Turtle

Cigar Dojo, the first and largest social cigar app, and Espinosa Premium Cigars, a leader in the craft cigar space, announce ‘Psychedelic Turtle,’ a mind-bending project that tastes as loud as it looks.

Espinosa Premium Cigars, led by one of the most engaging personalities in the world of premium cigars—Erik Espinosa—has never been one to shy away from vibrant smoking experiences—both in flavor and design. Teaming with Cigar Dojo, Espinosa’s creative team—Héctor J. Alfonso Sr. and Erik Espinosa Jr.—have headed back to the blending table of the renowned La Zona factory in Estelí.

With the end goal of producing an atypical smoking experience worthy of the project’s colorful name, Psychedelic Turtle took shape through the use of tobaccos from Nicaragua’s northernmost growing regions. High-priming viso and ligero leaves were chosen from both Condega and Jalapa, showcasing a balanced core that is both sweet and spicy. The fillers are then bound in a classic Habano-seed binder and finalized in a unique Brazliian Ballaño wrapper. Psychedelic Turtle arrives in a half-shell-inspired 5″ x 56 robusto grande format that has been box-pressed—simultaneously delivering smokers a pleasing draw and giving due diligence to the cigar’s reptilian namesake.

Psychedelic Turtle sets itself apart from former Espinosa/Dojo collaborations, showcasing colorful 10-count packaging that is randomized from bundle to bundle (e.g. purchasers of multiple bundles will likely receive multiple variations of the psychedelic design). In addition, three random bundles (out of the 400 made available) include a secret invite to Espinosa’s 2019 La Zona Palooza festival (*event only, airfare and lodging not included). Psychedelic Turtle has been rolled in a limited offering of 400 bundles of 10 cigars and will be sold exclusively through JR Cigar. Being released in tandem with the retailer’s annual Smokin’ In The Carolinas cigar festival, Psychedelic Turtle will be made available both online and to event attendees.

The cigars will launch on Friday June 7th at 12pm eastern time (online sales), priced at $89.95 per 10-count bundle. As an added bonus for members of the Cigar Dojo community, there will be a special coupon code released on June 7th that will save Dojo members an extra 10% off all Psychedelic Turtle purchases.
