RoMa Craft Tobac has announced the addition of Danny Vazquez to their sales force. Danny is best known for Baracoa Cigar Company, which he formally debuted at IPCPR 2016. Danny was forced to shut down his company only one year later, citing the “unsure state of the looming FDA regulations.”

Two months later, Danny has joined RoMa Craft Tobac, a leader in the space of craft/boutique cigars. Vazquez is set to make the move from Maryland—the home base of Baracoa Cigar Company—to Austin, TX (headquarters of RoMa Craft), where he will work to build and maintain relationships with accounts in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

AUSTIN, TX – RoMa Craft Tobac, widely considered as one of the strongest small-to-medium premium cigar companies in the world, today announced Danny Vazquez will be joining the company this month as its new sales leader focused on retail partners and distributors in the Americas. Vazquez joins RoMa Craft from Baracoa Cigar Company, which he founded in 2016. RoMa Craft Tobac continues to enhance its world-class organization and operations. As the new Americas sales leader, Vazquez will focus on continuing to evolve RoMa Craft’s relationship sales model. He will also be focused on identifying, acquiring, developing and retaining key accounts in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, South America and the Caribbean.

“In a short amount of time, Danny has been able to establish himself as a respected relationship and brand builder in the US premium cigar market,” Michael Rosales, Co-Founder and Global Sales Leader, said of Vazquez. “As selective as we are in choosing our retail partners, we are even more selective when deciding to add members to our small team. We are very excited to have Danny join us and assist us in moving RoMa Craft to the next level which will depend heavily on enriching the customer experience and building deeper retail partnerships with our customers as we move through the new regulatory environment.”

“I look forward to joining the RoMa Craft Tobac team in Austin,” said Vazquez. “They have a very unique and effective go-to-market model, and an amazing portfolio of brands and products; when I looked at the opportunities available to me after Baracoa, there was none more appealing than joining Skip and Mike at RoMa Craft. My family and I are looking forward to the next stage of my career and our lives in Austin, Texas.”

RoMa Craft Tobac is headquartered in Austin, Texas. Founded in 2013, the company distributes more than one million premium hand-rolled cigars annually with a brand portfolio that includes: Intemperance, CroMagnon, Neanderthal, Wunder|Lust and CRAFT.
