Easily one of the most talked about names in the cigar world today, Mr. Eddie Ortega after a super successful partnership with Erik Espinosa and EO Brands Eddie made a huge splash in 2012 with Ortega Premium Cigars‘ first release, Ortega Series D. This weeks contest theme is: How do you light your cigar?

Yes, this contest may sound slightly familiar, with February’s extremely difficult “Toasting your cigar” contest. For this contest, you won’t need 3 hands, but a front-facing phone camera sure will help. Post a picture showing us how you light your stogie for this week’s contest.

This week, we’re picking the winners a little differently… Typically, our contest winners our picked one of two ways: either at random, or judged by the Dojo staff. Well we thought we’d switch things up a bit and combine the two! 1st place winner will be hand-selected by the Dojo staff, based on the most interesting, unique, creative, funny, and awesome picture submitted. And 2nd second place winners will be selected at random!

Photoshopped or not, we want original images! i.e., an image taken specifically for this contest and created from scratch (no old photos, no images from Google).

As you may have read, we’re ending this weekend with the Ortega Cigars Smoke Night, a night for cigar smokers around the world to come together and enjoy the same cigars at the same time, all on the Cigar Dojo app! We’re encouraging anyone with a taste for fine cigars to go out and grab a few of your favorite Ortega cigars to smoke on April 28th, starting at 8PM eastern (7PM central, 6PM mountain, and 5PM pacific). Users across the globe will be sharing their thoughts, tasting notes, and cigar pics in what may be the most Ortega cigars ever smoked in one night! This is one of the more “rare” cigars we’ve given away in the weekly Dojo contests.

Two second place winners this week will be receiving a sampler box of 5 different assorted sizes of the delicious, Series D Maduro cigars! Comparable in flavor profile to the famous Padron 1964 series, the Ortega Series D was easily one of the best cigar releases of 2012.

Contest will run from 6:00 PM (MDT) Wednesday, April 24th, until 6:00 PM (MDT) Sunday, April 28th. The winners will be announced during the Ortega Smoke Night on Sunday, April 28th.

NOTE: This weeks 1st place winner will be picked by the Dojo staff. We will be judging the images on artistic quality, and best overall images that fit in this weeks theme. The 2nd place winners will be picked at random as a drawing accumulated from all entries. Entries and extra credit will add to your total entries into the contest, giving you a better shot at being picked.

Any reference to the CigarDojo in your image is worth extra to the judges. We like to see references to the Cigar Dojo because we would rather see images that were made for this contest rather than images that folks might had already taken in the past.
