La Gloria Serie R #3

The La Gloria Serie R #3 should come with a warning that states… YOU SHOULD NOT OPERATE HEAVY MACHINERY WHEN SMOKING THIS CIGAR, because these little babies pack a walup!! For such a small size the La Gloria Serie R #3 is a VERY powerful cigar. I love the size of this cigar, it’s a short 4.5 inches long but a thick 56 ring gauge. The size isn’t gimmicky like some other super short fat cigars, this cigar is the perfect size and don’t let the size fool you because this small cigar means business.

La Gloria Serie R #3 cigar review

Upon cutting and lighting you will quickly notice the strong full flavor of the La Gloria Serie R #3, deep peppery, full bodied flavor is the message this cigar sends and it will continue to send that message all the way to the nub. Plenty of thick, chewy smoke is on hand and the draw is slightly snug but not in a bad way. The burn was a tad uneven but the cigar never failed to perform.

The natural Sumatra wrapper from Ecuador is draped around some really interesting and powerful Dominican Republic fillers which seem to make for a very nicotine packed smoke. I wouldn’t call this a complex cigar and I didin’t notice any flavor shifts as I smoked it but it was extremely enjoyable and I couldn’t put it down until I was practically burning my fingers. These cigars typically run about $5.5 but you can find them on sale occasionally and beat that price by almost 50% if you wait around for just the right deal.
