Joya de Nicaragua is bringing back Cuatro Cinco Edición Americana, its cigar for members of the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA). The 2026 version is the fourth release exclusively for TAA members, following editions in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Dojo covered the original announcement in 2021.
The cigar is a 6 x 54 box-pressed belicoso with a Nicaraguan Criollo wrapper and a Dominican binder. The fillers are select Nicaraguan tobaccos that went through additional aging in vintage white oak barrels previously used by a Nicaraguan rum distillery.
Production is once again limited to 500 boxes of 10 cigars, available only to TAA retailers. MSRP is $16.50 per cigar and $165 per box.
“The TAA represents a community of specialty retailers who have played an important role in building and preserving premium cigar culture in America,” said Juan Martínez, Executive President of Joya de Nicaragua. “These are the retailers who introduce consumers to our cigars, share our stories, and build lasting relationships with cigar lovers.”
According to the release, this is Joya de Nicaragua’s first TAA exclusive under SAG Imports, which the company describes as its new independent distribution platform in the United States. SAG launched an online ordering portal for Joya de Nicaragua and Quesada retailers earlier this year. Joya’s 2024 TAA exclusive was Cinco de Cinco.
Cuatro Cinco Edición Americana will be presented at the 2026 TAA Annual Meeting, October 25 to 29, at Casa de Campo in La Romana, Dominican Republic. Shipments will begin immediately following the meeting.
