Room101 Cigars is bringing back its Johnny Tobacconaut line, this time as a maduro release that builds on the original concept introduced in 2015.
The Johnny Tobacconaut project first appeared as a limited Unobtanium release and developed a following among collectors. This new version shifts the profile toward a darker expression while keeping ties to the original release.
Produced in collaboration with AJ Fernandez, the Johnny Tobacconaut Maduro is a Nicaraguan puro featuring a maduro wrapper. According to the company, the blend leans into notes of earth, espresso, and dark cocoa, offering a fuller-bodied experience compared to earlier iterations.
“I was a tremendous disappointment to my mother during my teenage years. I still lament over this period of life well knowing that time was the only medicine to heal our relationship. Time brings lessons nothing else can teach – and in time we have evolved our beloved Johnny Tobacconaut into a sensational maduro variant which I believe is the most appropriate evolutionary step for this series in our evergreen effort to spread this cosmic brand across this beautiful planet of ours,” said Matt Booth, Founder and Creative Director of Room101 Cigars.
The cigars are scheduled to begin shipping in June 2026 and will be offered in three sizes.
