Constella has announced a new business partnership with Adrian Gonzalez, a five-time MLB All-Star, Golden Glove winner, Olympian, and entrepreneur. Alongside this collaboration, the company is introducing “The Resilient,” the first cigar in a new line aimed at honoring perseverance and strength.

Gonzalez, recognized for his achievements in Major League Baseball, has also built a career in business with investments in sports, real estate, brewing, and hospitality. His involvement with Constella grew from a long-standing friendship with company President Luciano Meirelles.

“Resilience is a mindset — it’s what got me through the toughest innings of my life,” said Gonzalez. “It’s what drives me today as a businessman, a father, and a partner. This brand isn’t just about cigars — it’s about honoring the strength we don’t always see, but always feel. I’m proud to launch it alongside my old friend Luciano and the Constella team.”

The Resilient debuts as a Limited Edition Toro (6 x 52), crafted with aged tobaccos from Costa Rica, Peru, and Nicaragua. The medium-bodied cigar offers layered complexity and a refined finish, reflecting the qualities it seeks to represent. While the factory, Élevé, remains unnamed, the emphasis is on the blend’s craftsmanship and its underlying message.

“For both Adrian and me, Resilience is personal,” said Meirelles. “We’ve walked through fire — in different arenas — but with the same resolve. This cigar is a tribute to every person who kept going when no one was watching. It’s not about surviving; it’s about becoming stronger.”

The launch of The Resilient marks the start of a broader family of cigars within Constella’s portfolio, each intended to reflect themes of endurance and legacy. The company aims to move the premium cigar industry toward storytelling and meaning with this and future releases. The cigar will ship to select retailers in May 2025, with a limited pre-release available at Constella-hosted events. The suggested retail price is $24 per cigar, sold in 20-count boxes.
