Germany-based premium cigar manufacturer German Engineered Cigars has announced their latest project as AUTONOM, showcasing experimental versions of the brand’s preexisting lines.

Autonom is German for Autonomous, and the concept is not limited strictly to cigars, as it will also act as an “information channel” from German Engineered Cigars, as noted in a press release:

The AUTONOM information channel will feature background information about cigars, raise questions and create awareness for latest scientific and societal developments. Following the founders’ Weltanschauung (German for worldview, or philosophy of life), the channel will provide news and links about science and technology, and ample food for curiosity. The first issue was all about the future of the automobile; the second edition focussed on cryptocurrencies.

At launch, AUTONOM is debuting in four formats, split between the RVGN and recently-announced RAUMZEIT brands:

  • 40 x 6.75 Lancero | RVGN Rauchvergnügen blend
  • 60 x 4 Defused Torpedo | RVGN Rauchvergnügen blend
  • 40 x 7 Lancero | RAUMZEIT blend
  • 50 x 4 Petit Edmundo (shaggy foot) | RAUMZEIT blend

AUTONOM is described as an “experimental playground for the brand,” showcasing limited versions of former and future blends from German Engineered Cigars. All formats are limited to 1,000 cigars each and and are priced at $10 MSRP per cigar. The RVGN-based cigars are now available for retailers to order, with the RAUMZEIT-based cigars said to be available soon.
