Alec Bradley is set to followup last year’s Black Market Esteli Diamond cigar with a re-release this June.
The cigar is named for its diamond-shaped box-press, which uses two obtuse angles and two acute angles to differentiate it from a standard box-press shape. Alec Bradley’s use of the diamond-press dates back to 2014, applying the shape to various lines in their portfolio in limited quantities over the years.
In 2020, Alec Bradley introduced the shape to their Black Market Esteli line, with COVID-19 delays pushing the release from June to October.
Alec Bradley Black Market Esteli Diamond features a tweaked version of the standard Black Market Esteli cigar, including an extra filler leaf of Habano ligero from Nicaragua. The cigar is sized at 6¼” x 54 and packaged in boxes that rest on their corner, accentuating the cigar’s unique shape. The company has made 1,500 boxes of 16 cigars for 2021, priced at $10.15 per cigar MSRP and slated for a June release.
