Rocky Patel Premium Cigars is set to unveil a new brand with a boutique concept at next week’s IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas.

The cigars are named ALR, an abbreviation for Aged, Limited, and Rare, and are reportedly the first of a series of small batch releases from Rocky Patel. Essentially, ALR was rolled at the company’s boutique TaviCusa factory (based in Estelí, Nicaragua) in 2015, where the decision was made to let the cigars age for three years.

The blend uses a Habano-seed wrapper over all-Nicaraguan filler/binder and is limited to 100,000 cigars. Three sizes have been rolled: Robusto (5″ x 50), retailing for $13, Toro (6″ x 52), retailing for $14, and Sixty (6″ x 60), retailing for $15. According to RPPC, there will be 1,500 boxes of 20 cigars in each size available, with the remaining 10,000 cigars being kept in “Rocky’s personal reserve.”

These fine cigars are special to me, and I’m proud to finally offer them to the cigar market. They’re silky, complex, medium-bodied. But they won’t last. Grab them while you can!Rocky Patel, president and CEO of RPPC

ALR by Rocky Patel will make its formal debut at IPCPR 2018 and will then be shipped to retailers in August.
