La Gloria Cubana Gran Legado is back by popular demand for a limited time. The General Cigar brand is re-releasing the limited-edition blend in a single Perfecto, with shipments to retailers starting November 1.
Every Gran Legado is rolled at the El Credito Cigar Factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic, by the factory’s most tenured bunchers and rollers, each with at least 15 years of experience.
“We decided to bring Gran Legado back not only because fans kept asking, but to continue to tell the story of El Credito and legacy of our rollers who are family at this point,” said John Hakim, brand manager for La Gloria Cubana. “They’ve dedicated their lives to this craft, and they deserve to have their stories told.”
The Blend
Gran Legado is a medium to full-bodied cigar built on Nicaraguan and Dominican filler tobaccos with a Nicaraguan binder and a Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro wrapper. The company describes darker notes of coffee and leather balanced by sweeter tobacco, and suggests pairing it with cognac, espresso or cabernet.
The cigar comes in 10-count boxes in a single Perfecto frontmark measuring 7 3/4 x 62, with a suggested retail price of $15.89 per cigar.
