Tabacalera USA has reorganized its senior leadership, moving three executives who ran its individual businesses into company-wide roles. Brad Winstead, Davide Moro and Nicolas Maslowski now report directly to Charles Gibb, Tabacalera USA’s President & CEO. The changes took effect October 16.
Tabacalera USA is the parent of Altadis U.S.A., the distributor behind Montecristo, Romeo y Julieta, H. Upmann, Trinidad and Henry Clay, along with online retailer JR Cigar and the Casa de Montecristo chain of lounges and shops. Each of the three executives previously served as CEO of one of those businesses.
Winstead, who led Casa de Montecristo, is now Chief Commercial Officer. He brings more than 20 years in the business and will oversee commercial work and distribution for both Altadis U.S.A. and Santa Clara.
Moro, formerly CEO of Altadis U.S.A., becomes Chief Marketing and Brand Experience Officer. He’ll handle marketing, branding and experiential retail across the company’s portfolio, and he’s also charged with using Casa de Montecristo as a testing ground for new concepts.
Maslowski, who was CEO of JR Cigar, takes the title of Chief Direct to Consumer Officer. He’ll keep running the company’s e-commerce business while also overseeing its digital efforts, omni-channel customer experience and new growth opportunities.
โThese appointments,โ said Charles Gibb, President & CEO of Tabacalera USA, โreflect our commitment to operating as โOneโ Tabacalera USA and bringing the combined expertise of our businesses together to serve customers and partners more effectively.โ
โAs we continue building a stronger and more connected Tabacalera USA, these three leadership appointments will strengthen our commercial organization, our brands and retail experiences, and our digital growth capabilities,โ he said.
