Saint Luis Rey is adding a Maduro to its Eiroa 30th Anniversary line. Altadis U.S.A. announced the Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro on October 28, a follow-up to the anniversary cigar that brought blender Christian Eiroa back to the brand.

The original Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary was introduced at the April 2026 Premium Cigar Association trade show. According to Altadis, the partnership with Eiroa began three decades ago, and he developed the original Saint Luis Rey blend in 1996. The company describes the Maduro as a richer, bolder take that keeps the character of the original. Dojo covered the original release in April and reviewed the Toro in September.

The Maduro is handmade in Honduras. It uses an Ecuadorian Habano Maduro wrapper over a Honduran Corojo binder, with filler from Pinareรฑo (Colombian) and Corojo (Honduran) tobaccos. Altadis lists tasting notes of dark chocolate, dried fruit and roasted coffee, and describes the strength as medium-to-full. The release doesn’t name the factory.

“The Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary Maduro represents the continuation of a chapter we began in 1996 but never had the opportunity to bring to market,” said Christian Eiroa. “As we continue to celebrate this milestone anniversary, we’re proud to be able to build on the legacy of the original collaboration. With the Maduro, we wanted to preserve the distinctive foundation of the original blend while delivering a richer, more intense expression that remains true to the character of Saint Luis Rey. It’s a natural evolution of the story we started together,” he said.

Like the original, the Maduro will be sold exclusively through brick-and-mortar retailers. “The response to the original Saint Luis Rey Eiroa 30th Anniversary release confirmed that there is a real appreciation for the history and authenticity of this collaboration,” said Marina Tuntes, Brand Manager at Altadis U.S.A. “Introducing a Maduro was a natural next step. It allows us to build on that momentum, offer consumers a new smoking experience and continue supporting our brick-and-mortar retail partners with a compelling addition to the Saint Luis Rey portfolio.”

The cigar will debut at the late October 2026 Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA) meeting, where the release says attendees will get a first look. It will then roll out nationally, with shipments scheduled to begin by the 2027 PCA trade show. The release doesn’t give a TAA date or location, and it doesn’t state a production count.

The cigars come in four sizes, packed in 25-count wooden cabinet-style boxes with a black-and-gold design. Suggested retail prices run from $12.00 to $13.50 per cigar.
