Davidoff is bringing its Chinese zodiac series to the Year of the Sheep for 2027, and this time every cigar in the collection is a figurado. According to Davidoff, it’s the first time in the history of its zodiac editions that all three formats share that shape, each meant to echo the curve of a sheep’s horn.
The main release is the Year of the Sheep Limited Edition 2027, a 6ยพ” x 52 piramides. Davidoff describes it as a full-bodied cigar of medium intensity, rating it 3 out of 5. The blend uses a lighter-hued Ecuadorian wrapper over Dominican and Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, and the company lists notes of cream, dark chocolate and caramel. Davidoff didn’t disclose the binder.

The cigars come in a ten-count box of dark solid wood inside a red outer box, with purple accents, a wool-like fabric lining and a removable cover with a cut-out window. Each cigar carries a second band with purple accents. Production is set at 17,500 boxes worldwide, and a numbered collector’s coin comes with each box.
“Every Davidoff cigar is created to fill our aficionados’ time beautifully, and our blend dedicated to the Year of the Sheep does so with a rare gentleness,” says Javier Gonzรกlez, SVP Head Global Marketing & Innovation at Oettinger Davidoff. “Bringing three figurado formats to life is both a statement of our craftsmanship and a tribute to the harmony this zodiac sign represents.”
The second cigar is a 6″ x 61 gran perfecto sold only at Davidoff of Geneva since 1911 flagship stores. It uses the same blend as the piramides, and Davidoff says the shape is found nowhere else in its current portfolio. It’s packed in boxes of 24, with 850 boxes available worldwide.
The third format, a 6″ x 56 gran torpedo, is only available in the Year of the Sheep Masterpiece Humidor. Chinese illustrator Jane Liu designed the lid artwork, and French textile artist Clรฉmentine Brandibas turned it into embroidery on silk satin. The humidor is made by hand in France, and only 12 will be produced, each holding 88 gran torpedos.
Two accessories round out the collection. The Year of the Sheep Porcelain Ashtray has horn-like sculpted edges and two cigar rests, is made in Limoges, and is hand-numbered and limited to 288 pieces. The Year of the Sheep Double Blade Cutter is finished in glossy gold with laser-engraved zodiac detailing, cuts up to a 60 ring gauge, and is limited to 388 laser-numbered pieces.
Davidoff says the cigars and accessories will be available from November 19, 2026 at select Davidoff appointed merchants and flagship stores, though launch dates may vary by country. Pricing wasn’t included in the release.
