J.C. Newman Cigar Co. is adding a new large-format cigar to its Brick House Maduro lineup, with The Commodore Maduro set to debut at PCA 2026 in New Orleans.

The cigar measures 5.5 x 70, making it one of the largest offerings in the Brick House portfolio. It will be offered in 25-count boxes as well as five-count humidor bags, with pricing set at $11.50 per cigar and shipping expected in June.

โ€œBrick House is known around the world for its outstanding taste, flawless construction, and excellent value,โ€ said fourth-generation owner Drew Newman. โ€œOur most popular Brick House size is the 6.25โ€ x 60 Mighty Mighty. This year, we will hand roll 1.1 million cigars in that vitola alone. The Commodore is Mighty Mightyโ€™s big brother. It recognizes the popularity of larger ring gauge cigars, but its standard 5.5โ€ length makes it more approachable than the typical 7โ€ x 70.โ€

Like other Brick House Maduro cigars, The Commodore uses a Brazilian Arapiraca maduro wrapper over Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos, produced at the companyโ€™s PENSA factory in Estelรญ, Nicaragua.

โ€œWhen you light The Commodore, you take command,โ€ said Newman. โ€œAs captain of your ship, prepare to set sail on a bold three-hour cigar journey.โ€

The release is one of four new products J.C. Newman plans to introduce during this yearโ€™s trade show.
