Lindal Importers Inc. has entered into an exclusive distribution agreement with Padilla Cigars Company, expanding the brand’s availability across Canada.
Founded in Miami in 2003 by Ernesto Padilla, Padilla Cigars has maintained a long-standing presence in the premium cigar space. Under the new agreement, Lindal will distribute Padilla’s portfolio throughout the Canadian market.
According to Chris Bisci, President and Owner of Lindal Importers, the partnership reflects alignment between the two companies. “This agreement reflects a strong strategic fit, aligning with Lindal’s premium cigar portfolio, including a shared commitment to quality, consistency and long-term partnerships,” Bisci said.
Padilla noted the personal significance of Canada to his family, stating, “Canada holds a special place in our family’s history. It was the first country my father set foot in as a free man after years of imprisonment and house arrest in Cuba for speaking out against the dictatorship. With the support of Senator Ted Kennedy and the Canadian government, his path to freedom became possible, and that legacy has stayed with us.”
Padilla also addressed the brand’s future plans in the market. “Canada has always been an important market for Padilla Cigars, and we’re proud to take this next step with Lindal Importers. We look forward to introducing the Padilla brand across multiple price points, along with unique releases created specifically for the Canadian market,” he said, while also thanking Canadian cigar consumers for their long-term support.
