Lure Cigars has revealed details for the 2025 edition of “The Last Cast,” a limited-edition cigar honoring the late Lou Cross Jr., father of brand owner Lou Cross. This marks the second annual release of the cigar, set to ship to retailers starting June 25, 2025.

The cigar, a 6×54 toro, features a USA Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper, an Ometepe binder, and filler tobaccos from Esteli, Condega, and Ometepe, Nicaragua. It is described as full-bodied with flavors of espresso, leather, dark fig, and baking spices. The 2025 release, limited to 4,500 cigars, is priced at $15.00 per cigar and comes in 10-count sealed wax packs with Boveda humidification.

“The Last Cast” draws its name from a fishing term for the final cast of an outing, reflecting Cross Jr.’s passion for fishing and cigars. โ€œSmoke Great Cigars & Tell Tall Talesโ€ remains the brandโ€™s motto, emphasizing shared moments. June holds significance for the release, aligning with Cross Jr.โ€™s birthday, Fatherโ€™s Day, and the month of his passing.
