Casa Carrillo has begun shipping the E.P. Carrillo Connecticut, the latest addition to its Essence Series, to retailers across the country. This marks the fourth blend in the series, joining Sumatra, Maduro, and Honduras, and is the second Essence cigar produced at the Agroindustrias DIADEMA factory in Honduras.

Introduced at the 2025 PCA Trade Show in New Orleans, the company stated it offers a mild-bodied profile with a smooth, creamy character. “The E.P. Carrillo Connecticut was born out of a desire to create a cigar that pairs creamy, mellow flavors with exceptional craftsmanship,” said Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. “This blend is perfect for both seasoned smokers seeking a refined, nuanced experience and those new to the world of premium cigars.”

The cigar features an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, a Criollo 98 Honduran binder, and a filler blend of Honduran and Dominican Republic tobaccos. Smokers can expect notes of hay, light pepper, and a clean, medium-length finish, making it suitable for pairing with coffee or an evening drink.

Available in 24-count boxes, the E.P. Carrillo Connecticut comes in three sizes: Corona (5 1/2 x 44, $9.25 MSRP), Robusto (5 x 50, $9.75 MSRP), and Toro (6 x 52, $10.50 MSRP).
