Avowed Cigars has announced the launch of Higher Calling, a limited-edition cigar set to reach retail partners in time for Father’s Day 2025. This release builds on the Vow 6.29 blend, incorporating higher-priming filler leaves, including Cotuí tobacco from Monika Kelner’s farms in the Dominican Republic. The cigars have been aged for two years, offering a creamier profile with notes of baking spices compared to the standard Vow 6.29 Toro.

The Higher Calling cigar features an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper and binder, with a filler blend of Piloto Cubano, Criollo 98, Corojo 99, San Vicente, and Cotuí. Priced at $20.00 per cigar, it is packaged in boxes of 10. Only 450 boxes will be produced worldwide, crafted by a single pair of rollers to ensure consistency. This blend holds historical significance as one of the first produced by Kelner Cigars, S.A.S., predating the regular Vow series and marking the start of a key partnership.

“One of my favorite things about Avowed Cigars is that each of us are Fathers,” said Dave West. “Most of the year is spent laboring to provide a better childhood for our kids, but on Father’s Day we slow down to take stock of where we are, how we got here, and where we’re going. Expect Avowed to release something truly special each year worthy of a Father’s Day celebration.”

Andrew added, “We often talk about the future and the legacy we’re building for our children. They are the driving force behind everything we do and our Higher Calling. As Fathers, we recognize the incredible value of time and wanted our first Father’s Day release to be aged to perfection.”
