Global Premium Cigars (GPC) announced the introduction of new packaging for its 1502 brand, set to debut at the 2025 PCA Tradeshow in New Orleans, LA. The updated design features cabinet-style boxes aimed at saving space in retail humidors, with individual cigars housed in branded cardboard boxes that include blend and vitola details for customer reference. These boxes are intended to protect cigars during transport.

The initial rollout will cover select vitolas, including the 1502 Blended Selection (Robusto and Toro), Nicaraguan Puro Selection (Robusto, Toro, and Churchill), and Aniversario 10 Blend (Toro), with a full transition planned by early 2026. The 1502 XO line will retain its current packaging. GPC will also offer 20-count โ€œmagazinesโ€ as a refill option for the individual cigar boxes, designed to provide retailers with a cost-effective alternative and reduce cigar box waste.

Enrique Sanchez, founder of GPC, commented, โ€œThis has been an important project in the making for several years now, and I couldnโ€™t be more excited to begin to formally roll out the new packaging this year. The brand deserves to be better represented in the humidor and in cigar smokersโ€™ hands, further reflecting the uniquely differentiated, premium Nicaraguan tobacco experiences cigar lovers have grown to expect from the 1502 brand. At the same time, and just as importantly, our retailer partners deserve to be offered more space-efficient, stand-out packaging options that will excite and delight their customers.โ€
