Espinosa Premium Cigars has announced the return of two cigars from its 601 La Bomba Warhead line: Warhead 1 and Warhead 6. The cigars are being reintroduced as part of the new Warhead Re-Up series, responding to years of requests from enthusiasts. “Our fans have been asking for this for years,” said Erik Espinosa Jr., Vice President of Espinosa Cigars. “Warhead 1 started it all, and Warhead 6 is widely considered the best we’ve ever done.”
Originally launched in 2013, Warhead 1 is a 6½ × 54 box-pressed Toro with a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and filler. Warhead 6, first released in 2019, is a 5 × 58 semi-pressed Perfecto known for its balanced blend. Both cigars maintain their original recipes and sizes in this re-release.
The Warhead Re-Up series packages the cigars in a 10-count, bomb-shaped box, reflecting the line’s military theme while incorporating updated design elements. “Re-Up isn’t just about nostalgia,” said Hector Alfonso Sr., Master Blender of Espinosa Cigars. “It’s about recognizing what made these cigars great and delivering that same experience again.”
Priced at $15 per cigar or $150 per box, production is capped at 1,500 boxes each of Warhead Re-Up 1 and Re-Up 6. The cigars, crafted at the San Lotano Factory in Ocotal, Nicaragua, will be available at select retailers following their trade show debut in April 2025.
