Marking the finale of Davidoff’s History Re-Rolled Series, the Grand Cru Diademas Finas Limited Edition Collection pays homage to Zino Davidoff’s original 1946 vision of creating cigars that mirror the complexity of fine wines. This newest iteration of the legendary 6¾” x 50 diadema format combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aging techniques, featuring Dominican San Vicente seco tobacco that has been aged for six months in Premier Grand Cru Classé Bordeaux wine casks. The tobacco undergoes a meticulous process of being flipped every two weeks, allowing it to naturally absorb the wine-soaked wood’s aromatics without direct wine contact. This specially-aged tobacco is then combined with additional Dominican fillers and binder beneath an Ecuadorian wrapper, creating a refined experience that bridges the worlds of wine and tobacco. Creamy and chewy in texture, the profile opens with bright notes of light-roast coffee bean and buttered crackers before developing into layers of almond butter, custard, and subtle wine-like tannins that weave throughout the experience.
