Long considered a pillar in the space of Dominican cigar craftsmanship, the Quesada family celebrated their 50th anniversary of cigar manufacturing in 2024 with the Quesada 50th Anniversary line. The release was divided between two sizes—a box-pressed toro and a round perfecto—each making use of a diverse four-country blend. This includes Dominican and Peruvian leaves within the filler, being secured with a Nicaraguan binder and finalized with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The end result is a medium-bodied offering that plays to the family’s strengths of quality craftsmanship and nuanced complexity. The smoke is balanced and lightly zesty through the retrohale, standing out with notes of cinnamon toast, black pepper, tangy sourdough, and roasted nuts at the core of the profile.
