After revealing the Casa Magna Maduro line this Oct., Quesada Cigars has announced that the cigars are now shipping to retailers.
The cigars feature a new take on the Casa Magna brand, using a Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a three-country filler from the Dominican Republic, the USA, and Nicaragua. While Casa Magna cigars were originally made by the Plasencia family (as contracted by Quesada), recent additions to the brand have been rolled by the Quesada family’s own Tabacos de Exportación facility in the DR, including the Casa Magna Maduro.
The cigars are offered in five sizes: three being regular production and two being limited.
- Robusto: 5″ x 54 | $11.50 (MSRP)
- Toro: 6½” x 52 | $12.00 (MSRP)
- Belicoso Box Pressed: 5½” x 52 | $12.00 (MSRP)
- *Toro Box Pressed: 6″ x 54 | $13.00 (MSRP)
- *Lancero: 7″ x 40 | $13.00 (MSRP)
In terms of the limited offerings, the Toro Box Pressed was made for the Tobacconists’ Association of America (TAA), featuring a total of 300 boxes. This allows the roughly 80 TAA-authorized retailers access to sell this particular size. There is also the Lancero, which is offered to a wider range of retailers, though being limited to only 100 boxes.
