If, for whatever reason, you feel the urge to shout this cigar’s title, it’s most likely stemming from a distant memory from the ’90s—perhaps Frank Costanza (Seinfeld) shouting the mantra in order to keep his blood pressure down… But while Costanza’s efforts seemed to have the opposite effect, we’ve found that Serenity Now—in cigar form—is actually quite soothing. The cigar debuted in the spring of 2024 alongside the contrasting Insanity Later blend, with the duo being packaged together in an alternating fashion. As with a host of other blends from Christian Eiroa this year (including pre-existing lines), Serenity Now makes use of a new South American tobacco, sourced from a recently acquired farm in an undisclosed region of the continent. Combined with a Connecticut-seed wrapper and Honduran tobaccos, this makes for a mellow yet flavor-forward experience. The cigar is balanced and well-constructed, offering easy-going and carefree smoking sessions, with characteristics of clean cedar, buttered nuts, and a marshmallow sweetness that keeps you hooked.
