This morning on social media Steve Saka of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust announced a new limited-edition cigar, the “Year of the Duque,” a release inspired by Saka’s close friend and cigar community supporter, Chris Duque. This cigar marks the first in an annual series honoring those who have contributed significantly to Dunbarton’s journey.

The “Year of the Duque” is crafted in a 5 x 48 parejo format and is designed with Duque’s personal taste in mind, offering a robust profile intended to age well. “This project is a tribute to those who have supported us—our patrons, friends, and especially Chris, who tirelessly shares our story,” Saka explained.

Saka confirmed that production will be extremely limited, and Dunbarton’s retailers will soon receive pre-order information. Each year, Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust intends to recognize a different individual with a unique cigar in this series.
