Black Star Line Cigars have announced that the company is moving away from their direct-to-consumer model, and will be removing cigar sales from their website (currently, all cigars are listed as “sold out”).

Owner Aric Bey states, “ It’s time to make a change. We are a bigger company and we don’t need to sell direct to consumer anymore. When the company started we sold direct to consumer to help spread the brand. We have grown tremendously so now we are letting our retail partners exclusively sell our brand. We fully support our retail partners in every way”. Bey states, “Our website will continue to sell coffee, and various other swag for those that want branded items from us.”

The direct-to-consumer model is often used for smaller companies as they begin the process of building a following, but can be an obstacle when taking the next step to be sold through larger online retailers. While Black Star Line can be found throughout the country at local brick-and-mortars, this is the current list of online retailers carrying Black Star Line:

  • Oak Glen Tobacconist
  • Cigar Federation
  • Privada Cigar Club
  • CigarClub.com
