For the third consecutive year, Ferio Tego will showcase a new batch of the company’s most prestigious cigars: Ferio Tego Elegancia and Ferio Tego Generoso.

After announcing the debut of the Ferio Tego in early 2021, the company’s first original cigars were revealed as a pair of luxury-priced limited blends later that fall (which then shipped that October). These cigars take a unique approach—not attempting to perfectly maintain a strict blend/profile, but instead keeping in line with the cigars’ respective styles. Rolled only once per year, this allows for subtle changes from year to year, similar to certain vintages from a winemaker’s house creations.

For the Ferio Tego Elegancia, the cigars are rolled out of the Quesada factory in the Dominican Republic. The blend includes an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Dominican binder and fillers from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Meanwhile, the Ferio Tego Generoso is rolled by the Plasencia family at their Nicaraguan factory. This blend features a Honduran wrapper and all-Nicaraguan binder/fillers.

Both cigars maintain the same 6″ x 50 toro format of prior releases, as well as the handmade humidor-style boxes, which house 10 cigars apiece. Differentiating the cigars from prior releases are foot bands that list “2023” as the release year. Pricing has gradually increased year over year, starting at $21/cigar in 2021, $22/cigar in 2023, and $23/cigar for this year’s release. Ferio Tego has planned the official release date for October 24, 2023.
