“Didn’t the Factory Unleashed win this award last year?” One might ask. “Why, yes it did,” Cigar Dojo’s voting panel would reply, “and thanks for keeping score!” As it turns out, Camacho’s yearly Factory Unleashed series operates right in the sweet zone of the price/value ratio, delivering two solid bang-for-your-buck cigars in a row. We find this especially interesting, considering limited-edition cigars such as these are often intended for luxurious and celebratory smoking occasions (with price points to match). Meanwhile, Camacho has been whipping up limited/affordable smokes and bundling them in paper to bring down cost. With the Factory Unleashed 2, the cigars use a completely different blend than their predecessor, showcasing an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a multinational binder/filler. The cigars are very well balanced and could easily be smoked on the regular (were it not for the limited factor), offering consistent flavors in the realm of salted pretzel, toasted hardwoods, white pepper, and caramel bread pudding.
