For the second time since 2019, Single Cask Nation will partner with Aganorsa Leaf to introduce a cigar finished in whiskey barrels.

Like the original, the cigars are simply titled Single Cask Nation, though the 2021 release changes the blend, size, and barrel used for aging. According to a press release today, J&J Spirits, the company behind Single Cask Nation Whisky (an independent bottler of Single Malts, Bourbons, Ryes, Rums, and Mezcal), began the project by shipping a barrel that formerly contained 14-year old Tennessee whiskey to Aganorsa Leaf.

Aganorsa Leaf then rolled 2,000 box-pressed toro (6″ x 54) cigars, using a Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper and all-Nicaraguan binder/fillers, finishing the blend in Single Cask Nation’s barrel.

“The bourbon barrel created an interesting marriage” added Joshua Hatton, [J&J Spirits’] President & CEO, “Fans of bourbon will definitely love this cigar as will fans of Aganorsa Leaf. Where our last release was more about the whisky, this one is extremely balanced.”

Single Cask Nation 2021 differs from the 2019 release, which was sized at 5¼” x 50, used an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper, and was finished in a rye barrel. The cigars are being sold exclusively through retailer Two Guys Smoke Shop, with 200 boxes of 10 cigars to become available on July 26 at 10am (EDT). Pricing is set at $129.99 per box.
