Following shortly behind the Asylum Friday November the 13th cigarโ€”coinciding with Friday, Nov. 13, 2020โ€”the company is continuing the theme with Asylum Martes 13.

Martes 13 is the equivalent of Friday the 13th, recognized by Spanish-speaking regions such as Latin America and Spain. For them, the day lands on Tuesday (Martes), rather than Friday.

The superstition around Martes 13 is taken to a different level, to the point where there is a well-known phrase to encourage one from doing anything even remotely risky during said day:

โ€œNi te cases ni te embarques ni de tu casa de apartesโ€, which roughly translates to โ€œDonโ€™t get married, or travel, or even go far from homeโ€.

Asylum Martes 13 is rolled in Honduras using all-Corojo tobaccos, with the blend said to fall in medium-to-full-bodied territory. Like the Friday the 13th cigars, Martes 13 will be offered in paper-wrapped five-packs, including 48×4 ($6.25/cigar MSRP) and 54×6 ($7.50/cigar MSRP) sizes. The next Tuesday the 13th lands in April, where the cigars are set to launch.
