Following in the footstep’s of 2019’s Hair of the Dog release, Diesel is set to release a limited number of Diesel Delirium, described as “A cigar for the initiated, Delirium is a peppery smoke that delivers an array of spices, with hints of nuts and an unexpected touch of nougat on the palate.”

As with the Hair of the Dog cigar, Delirium is a revival of a cigar from the brand’s early days as a Cigars International exclusive, originally launching in 2014. But the blend has been updated for the modern era, with Senior Brand Manager, Justin Andrews, teaming with Master Blender A.J. Fernández to create the “boldest Diesel blend to date.”

Diesel Delirium 2020 cigar

Diesel Delirium is about disruption. It’s a cigar that demands the smoker’s full attention and while it follows Hair of the Dog, the two blends couldn’t be more different. Delirium’s definitely powerhouse of a smoke, but it’s not just that. It’s also about dimension and balance, and that begins and ends with the blend we developed. This is a cigar that we recommend enjoying when you have time to commit to really experiencing the full spectrum of taste it delivers.Senior Brand Manager, Justin Andrews

Diesel Delirium features an Ecuadoran Sumatra wrapper over a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and all-Nicaraguan fillers. The cigar has been rolled in a singular 6″ x 52 toro format, retailing for $10 SRP. Packaging is on par with the Hair of the Dog project, with 10 cigars positioned vertically instead of the traditional horizontal layout. And the cigar has new bands as well, including a foot band that designates the cigar’s 2020 limited launch. Delirium has been limited to 50,000 cigars (5,000 boxes of 10 cigars), expected to arrive on store shelves on March 2nd.
