Gurkha Cigars’ premiere releases at IPCPR 2019 consisted of three cigars: Gurkha Treinta, Gurkha Nicaragua Series, and Gurkha Real. These releases helped to pique the interest of enthusiasts in a way that was perhaps not seen in years past. While one such cigar—Gurkha Real—offers a mild smoking experience that is produced at the Casa Cuevas factory (a frequent partner for Gurkha), the other two brands are being made by the Fernández’s renowned TABSA factory, incorporating all (or primarily) Aganorsa leaf tobaccos throughout. The Fernández family is one of the largest growers of premium Nicaraguan tobacco in the world, with many of today’s leading brands (Warped, Illusione, Foundation, etc.) using their Aganorsa tobaccos and being produced at the TABSA factory in Estelí.
There will also be several new updates and size extensions for current Gurkha lines, which are also expected to ship in the August timeframe.
