Warped Cigars is set to bring back one of the company’s first limited-run cigars: La Colmena Unico Especial.
Like many of Warped’s limited offerings, La Colmena Unico Especial is simply an exclusive version of one of their pre-existing lines, offering the La Colmena blend in a special 5″ x 48 belicoso format. The cigars first debuted in 2014, with only 1,000 vertically positioned tins/jars of 10 cigars in circulation.
Five years after the initial release, La Colmena Unico Especial is slated to return for 2019. As with the original, the cigars feature a signature Ecuadorian DeFlorada wrapper, secured over an Ecuadorian binder and fillers of Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. Unico Especial 2019 is rolled at the boutique El Titan de Bronze factory in Little Havana, with 950 tins of 10 cigars expected to make their way to retailers this December.
La Colmena Unico Especial 2019 will be on display at Warped’s IPCPR booth later this month; pricing is expected to be $170 per tin ($17 per cigar).
